Updates: The anthology project is coming along amazingly nicely. A list of contributors and other details forthcoming. The interest and excitement this project has generated is ....interesting and exciting.
We are moving into the latter phase of our academic project modifying The Paranormal Belief scale, and a relatively large amount of data from wide geographic distributions is thanks to the collaborative nature of this effort.
The pilot of the podcast Observations & Phenomena could just not be mixed to our satisfaction and we are re recording this week. for now there's this lovely teaser
Dave Leech and the boys over at 'the bar' and Bullpen Chief / Scholar David Metcalfe keep quality standards high.
Other Observations of note:
David Halperin has some essential reading, including pdfs of old 'insider' zine's from barker moseley to et al.
Meanwhile, the prolific Brandy Schillace turns up at Inside Higher Ed writing on Rogue Scholars and alternative academics
We must admit that among the reasons we have yet to give a formal review of the Jim Moseley Tribute book via Tim Beckley is that we find it so lovely and well done(except the blasted cover!) . If you care at all about the history of ....strangeness, Ufos, flying saucers, myths and history, you should grab a kindle copy if nothing else.
We'll also soon be announcing details regarding an electronic archive of Barker/Moseley/Saucerian materials. As if we need another project. Eventually we'd like to archive physical files and correspondence, as S.Miles Lewis does so well in Austin Tx.
The Lab is also about to shut down while we are on travel, including a trip to deliver the aforementioned talk at The Society for Scientific Exploration.. Also there will be Eddie Bullard, Michael Swords John and Victoria Alexander....It is somewhat humbling, and also an honor to deliver said presentation amongst some of the best.
Here at The Lab, we're stockpiling florida water and hoodoo powder like Bill Cooper - er..... well, we're out of space. Check next issue for these important stories and remember, Watch The Skies!!!!.....
